What sessions look like

Sessions are held virtually — by secure video — so you can join from your home, car, or any private space across Ontario or Canada. Each session is designed to feel purposeful, not rushed.

We begin by understanding what anxiety looks like in your specific life, then build a practical toolkit together. That might include grounding techniques, breathing and nervous system regulation, cognitive restructuring, worry-scheduling, and strategies to reduce avoidance step by step. You leave each session with something concrete to practice.

Approaches used

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles

Frequently asked questions

What is anxiety support and who is it for?

Anxiety support at Ubuntu Consulting is for adults across Ontario and Canada who notice frequent worry, physical tension, or overwhelm that gets in the way of daily life. You do not need a formal diagnosis to benefit — if anxiety is affecting your sleep, relationships, or ability to function, support can help.

Is this therapy or counselling?

Ubuntu Consulting offers consulting and psychoeducation-based support, not registered therapy or clinical counselling. Sessions draw on evidence-informed frameworks including CBT and mindfulness, and are led by Suhaila Ali, MA Applied Psychology. If clinical therapy is needed, Suhaila will help you find the right referral.

That depends on your goals and starting point. Many clients notice meaningful shifts within 4–8 sessions. All plans are built collaboratively — you set the pace.
